Ty Law Shares Logical Perspective On Tom Brady’s Free Agency

Pretty much everyone in the football world made a prediction on Tom Brady and his free agency decision. The quarterback is set to become a free agent for the first time in his career. Seeing him put on a different uniform is the least likely scenario. Ty Law shared his take on Brady and his offseason move.

Law hopes that the six-time Super Bowl champion will re-sign with the Patriots this offseason. He spent five seasons playing alongside the quarterback. However, this doesn’t mean that he will pressure TB12. When it comes to Law, he believes that Brady has every right to test the open market. The quarterback spent his entire career with the Patriots, and he really earned this opportunity.

Ty Law has a theory

“I understand we want him to stay, I want Tom to stay, but I think that we should give him the freedom and the opportunity to do what he wants to do, whatever is in his heart,” Law said Thursday on WEEI’s The Greg Hill Show. “I have no indication of what he’s going to do whatsoever, I want to make that very loud and clear, but he gave us 20 years of his life, and a good 20 years. I think we should be thankful that he was able to do what he’s done and bring those championships here to New England.

“But, if he wants to go out there and put his toe in the water to see, let him do that. It’s no right or wrong answer to it at this point. It’s called free agency. I really think in my hearts of hearts that we will see Tom Brady (back in New England) because it will be different to see him in another uniform.”

We can’t really imagine Brady put on a different uniform. But, some reports suggest that he may leave the team. According to a recent report, Brady’s first offseason talk with head coach Bill Belichick “didn’t” go well.

Will TB12 leave the Pats?

What will happen if Brady decides to go somewhere else? Belichick doesn’t have a replacement, and that would be a big problem. Hopefully, the GOAT will re-sign with the Pats

“For Tom Brady, right now, nothing that he does will tarnish his image or will tarnish his legacy as far as what he’s done on the football field,” Law said. “He could go out there and lose every game and still be the greatest to ever do it.”

Brady may sign with the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders. NFL teams can’t talk to Brady, and we haven’t heard any official statement on this interest. If Belichick doesn’t give him a good deal or if he doesn’t get better offensive weapons, TB12 will go somewhere else.
