Watch: Adam Silver Makes Worrying Admission On NBA Regular Season After Coronavirus Suspension

The coronavirus outbreak shocked the entire country and froze almost every function within its borders. This doesn’t come as a surprise if you take into consideration the fact that thousands of people died after being infected with the virus. People with chronic diseases and the elderly have a higher risk of fatal outcomes. The NBA decided to suspend the regular season Wednesday night, and it’s an indefinite suspension. We don’t have information about the duration of the hiatus. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver provided an update on the coronavirus suspension. Silver appeared on a special edition of TNT’s “Inside the NBA” on Thursday and discussed the situation.

According to Silver, the season may be over. However, he couldn’t provide more information at this point. “Of course it’s possible,” he said. “I just don’t know more at this point.”

Adam Silver has a warning on coronavirus suspension

Silver noted that he’s talked to a lot of experts who have theorized that the coronavirus “peter out” as we enter spring. Although this is an optimistic possibility, it’s still a huge hypothetical.

As the NBA Commissioner notes, a lot of questions will go unanswered as he and other officials will continue to consider all of the information on hand. The Association has adhered to the requests of its owners as the Commissioner also confirmed that the suspension will last at least 30 days.

Hopefully, we will have more information in the next few days. Silver will continue to weigh all of the options. For now, we better stay home and see what happens next.

Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz already have the virus. Gobert was the first to test positive, and reports reveal that he was careless in the locker room. According to these reports, he was touching his teammates and their belongings. There’s also a video of his press conference, and yes, he touched everything around him on purpose.

Gobert issued an apology to everyone he met and also thanked people around him for their support.
