March 26, 2020
Let’s give Giannis Antetokounmpo a break. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar may need to step back from the spotlight. The young superstar got the surprise of his life, and it wasn’t good at all. Things got an unexpected turn, and we believe that Giannis will have a lot of sleepless nights in the near future. So, what really happened? It turns out that Giannis never knew that his girlfriend was a Los Angeles Lakers fan.
The superstar did an Instagram live session with his girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger. He couldn’t really believe his ears when she said she once supported the Lakers.
“I was a Laker fan growing up,” she said. Yes, she doubled down the “growing up” part.
Giannis needed some time to collect himself. That’s when he cracked a joke. “Oh no, I gotta stop the live now,” he said. Riddlesprigger gave birth to a cute little baby earlier this year. She comes from Fresno, Calif.
Giannis documented “a couple challenge” with Riddlesprigger on Instagram. In that video, he revealed he initiated their first kiss. So cute.
Giannis “has a thing” for the Lakers
The NBA season is suspended now. But, before the suspension, Milwaukee and LA owned the top seed in their respective conferences. It was more than obvious that these two teams would meet in the NBA Finals.
Giannis was selected 15th overall by Milwaukee in 2013. He is the reigning MVP. There’s an ongoing debate regarding the NBA MPV award this season. Giannis is part of the game. But, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James may easily snatch that award for himself. LeBron has been really successful this season, and many believe he is the NBA MVP for the 2019-20 season.
This season, LeBron is averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.5 blocks and 10.6 assists per game, while shooting at 49.8% from the floor.
Giannis, is averaging 29.6 points, 13.7 boards, 1.0 steal, 1.0 block and 5.8 assists per game while shooting at 54.7% from the field.
Let’s see what happens this summer. First, let’s do our best and win the fight against the nasty virus that’s destroying the world. Wash your hands, people!
