Lakers superstars LeBron James knows how to surprise his teammates, and yes, he is friends with all of them. This time the King sand ‘Happy Birthday’ to Anthony Davis, and there’s a video of the whole thing.

The three-time NBA champion took to his Instagram stories to share a video of Davis. In this video, LeBron signs the song while making his way to the Lakers locker room. Davis is in front of his locker, arranging his things, and LeBron arrives right on time to surprise him. Well, it was actually a modified version of the song, and Davis was more than surprised. How did the whole thing end? He threw a towel in LeBron’s face.

A happy birthday for Anthony Davis

LeBron and Davis really liked to share the same locker room. King James struggled a lot last season, and he really needed another big name by his side. He talked about Davis’ talent long before the Lakers tried to sign him. Former president of basketball operations Magic Johnson did his best to bring Davis in LA, but the New Orleans Pelicans would give up on him. They turned down the offer. The Lakers tried again last summer, and yes, they managed to bring the big guy in LA.

Davis and LeBron make the ultimate duo in the league. They have been really successful this season, and thanks to their chemistry, the Lakers sit on top of the Western Conference. Davis was the perfect addition to the team, and he arrived at the right time. LeBron knew that, and that’s why he wanted to play with Davis. On one occasion, he said it would be nice to have Davis on the roster.

Today, LeBron and Davis win games, and will soon help their teammates win a championship this season.

Davis is a regular guest at LeBron’s Taco Tuesday dinners. The king never misses a chance to share a video of their lovely times together. Davis is a friend and an excellent teammate, and hopefully, he will stay with the Lakers for a few more seasons. LeBron needs him. The Lakers need him to win games.
