Gov. Charlie Baker Emotionally Thanks Kraft Family For Getting Masks To Massachusetts

The New England Patriots did something beautiful for Massachusetts. The Patriots nation and every American in the country praised the Kraft family for their effort. Robert Kraft and his family brought one million masks to the state. It was a great contribution to the community.

Using the organization’s plan, the Patriots owner transported about 1 million N95 protective masks from China. The family paid two million dollars to help with the costs.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker arrived at Logan International Airport in Boston to welcome the Patriots plane. He thanked Kraft and his organization in an emotional speech. He praised front line workers in healthcare. The same goes for those in emergency management and public safety.

“Jonathan (Kraft), honestly we can’t thank you and your dad and your family enough for answering the call and helping make this happen,” Baker told team president Jonathan Kraft at the press conference. “And for the many, many dedicated front line workers across this state who are battling COVID-19 on behalf of the people of Massachusetts every single day, this gear will make an enormous difference.”

Kraft will do more than donating masks

Baker also mentioned the fact that this shipment happened at the right moment. Massachusetts is getting ready for the peak. The coronavirus has taken a lot of lives in the state.

“Now we all talk a lot here in Massachusetts about the Patriot Way, and that means working hard, stepping up and doing your job,” Baker said. “Our job now is to protect each other as we battle this disease together. Here in Massachusetts we’ve seen time and again that we work best when we work together.”

Well, the Patriots are ready to do this and much more. There are no days off, remember? Kraft is serious about the situation. He will use his power to help the state.

The coronavirus caught everyone off guard. We didn’t expect a pandemic and the situation is really serious. People are dying. We need to do something to stop the spread of COVID-19. Hopefully, authorities will find a way to solve this problem. We need to protect ourselves. We need to protect others.
