LeBron met Jordan for the first time

Carter went on Uninterupted with Chris Paul and Paul Rivera. When asked about this meeting, Carter provided a lot of great details. It was still fresh in his memory.

LeBron and Carter would often go to “Hoops they Gym” in Chicago. Jordan’s trainer, Tim Grover, owned the place. LeBron was 16 at the time. He started training and worked on his skills with the ball. He played against Paul Pierce, Jerry Stackhouse and other notable names. Young LeBron was that good at 16.

Carter remember how they saw something great as they were about to leave the gym. “Just as we were about to go out the door, a red convertible Ferrari pulls out on the street.” It was Jordan. Carter revealed that Jordan was wearing his bucket hat flipped up in the front. That was his style.

Jordan walked in, and Carter and LeBron made all the way back into the gym. They wanted to talk to Jordan. LeBron met his idol for the very first time. “When he got out of this car, it looked like he was just floating. It was literally black Jesus in the flesh.” King James shared the story on his Instagram. It was a brilliant moment for him.
