LeBron James Makes A Surprise Announcement, Steps Up For His Young Fans

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will combine his desire for education and entertainment to honor the high school class of 2020. LeBron will do his best to surprise his young fans, and this time he is targeting seniors who are about to graduate without the traditional ceremony.

The COVID-19 pandemic has put everything on hold. Schools have cancelled graduation ceremonies to prevent further spreading of the virus.

King James graduated from St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. XQ institute approached him to make an offer. They wanted to know if he is interested in taking part in a unique graduation ceremony for the seniors. According to estimations, about 3 million students will graduate this year. The three-time NBA champion and XQ have come up with an excellent idea.

XQ asked LeBron to appear in a virtual ceremony. He will do that and much more. LeBron will also produce the event. The King’s SpringHill production company and Done+Dusted will produce the event named “Graduate Together: America Honors the High School Class of 2020.” You will be able to watch it on television and online platforms.

LeBron takes care of his young fans

“It’s been a hard few months for all of us, but I especially really feel for the senior class of 2020,” LeBron said during his interview with ESPN. “The end of high school and graduation was one of the best memories of my life. It’s not fair. Every graduating senior needs to know how much we feel for them and hopefully, this can help, even a little. This class is going to be special because they know in a real way how to persevere.”

LeBron won’t be the only star to take part in the event.  The program will also host Megan Rapinoe, Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, and musicians Pharrell Williams, the Jonas Brothers, and Bad Bunny.

The four-time NBA MVP took to Instagram to share the big info. He shared a photo of him as a graduate.

“These students have worked incredibly hard for this, and there’s no way we can let that go unrecognized. While this won’t be the graduation experience they were supposed to get, we hope we can still give them something special because they deserve it.”
