Patriots’ React To Information Leaking About Contact With QB Prospect

The New England Patriots need to work on their quarterback situation. The team lost Tom Brady to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer are the only options New England has at the moment. NFL analysts have split opinions about the whole situation. Some say that Bill Belichick would go with Stidham. Others believe that Belichick will get another player. There have been so many rumors about the New England Patriots’ quarterback prospect idea. No one has provided official information.

When asked about his client and the chance to see him sign with the Patriots, this agent didn’t say a thing.

“Are you trying to get the Patriots to hunt down my firstborn?” he replied.

The same thing happened last season. Another agent said the same thing. No one likes to leak information related to the Patriots.

“Would love to answer that, but then I have to deal with the wrath of (the Patriots), and that isn’t good,” the agent said.

The Patriots’ quarterback prospect may not be a secret after all

New England is really protective over their pre-draft meetings. Does this apply to their quarterback options? I don’t think so.

ESPN reported that FIU quarterback James Morgan has had his conversation with the Pats.

The same happened last year with Stidham. Everyone knew that he had visited the Patriots. The team ended up signing him. Jimmy Garoppolo visited the Patriots in 2014.

Most agents don’t want to discuss the Patriots topic. So, next time you hear something about the Patriots and their targets, don’t worry. Agents don’t like to talk about this. No one likes to get involved into a thing with the Patriots.

New England needs a quarterback, and they may get one in the 2020 NFL Draft. Cody Kessler was released last week. Belichick has the courage to go with Stidham in September.

Stidham currently is the prospective Patriots game starter. Hoyer can become a backup quarterback. He may also opt to compete for the starting role in training camp and preseason. The only thing we can do is wait for the Patriots to make their final move. But, you may not hear anything about it at all.
