Randy Moss Flexes All Over NFL WRs With Funny Tweet
Randy Moss was once a star wide receiver in New England. He knows a lot about the game, and this time the WR legend decided to say a word or two for his fellow wideouts.
The Hall of Famer took to Twitter Friday morning to post a photo of the record books for NFL single-season touchdown receptions. If you take a look at this photo, you will see Moss’ name in the top 21. Four times. Three of his records happened during his tenure with the Minnesota Vikings (1998, 2000, 2003). He hit the fourth record with the Patriots in 2007.
His season with the Patriots is actually at the very top of this list. Moss will be remembered as one of the best wideouts the NFL has ever seen. A lot of analysts compare him to Jerry Rice.
Rice has 197 career receiving touchdowns. He is the only wide receiver to have more receiving touchdowns than Moss. When it comes to statistics, Moss finished his career with 156 touchdown catches.
Randy Moss is a legend
Moss spent three seasons playing with the Patriots. He had brilliant performance and provided 250 receptions in 48 games. Fans remember that 47 of these are touchdowns. Moss had a 59.2 percent catch rate.
Almost every league has suspended its activities, and the NFL is no exception. Teams can’t meet players, and officials will have to find an alternative solution for the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft. This is a rather challenging offseason for every NFL teams. However, the NFL has an advantage in this situation. The deadly virus hit the nation during the NFL offseason, so players won’t lose any games at all. Unlike the NFL, the NBA had to suspend the regular season and players don’t even know whether they will return to the court this season.
Sports legends have plenty of time to recall their best games in their respective leagues. For Moss, now is the perfect time to remind everyone of his records. We bet other great NFL legends will do the same. Bring out the good numbers, everyone. And wash your hands. And stay home, please.
