The Patriots may go after a High-Priority Free Agent

Evan Brennan, Ghanwoloku’s agent from United Athlete Sports, went on KSL Sports’ Cougar Tracks Podcast. He discussed the player’s chances in the NFL. The New England Patriots are one of the teams that have shown interest in Ghanwoloku.

“Dayan, in particular, is heating up,” the agent said. “We’re talking several defensive back coaches are face timing him daily. The Patriots reached out to him yesterday via face time. He is getting an avalanche of interest.”

NFL teams are taking an old school approach to player evaluations. They watch film in college and discuss players’ skills. Ghanwoloku was really great success at BYU.

During his four years at BYU, Ghanwoloku started in 43 of 48 games. He made starts at cornerback and safety. The talented player finished with 207 tackles, seven interceptions, and seven fumble recoveries. He hit the highest number of fumble recoveries among all BYU players in the last two decades.

Ghanwoloku has great success on defense. He also played on special teams during his time in Provo. A lot of NFL teams would like to get the talented player.

Three years ago, former BYU defensive end/linebacker Harvey Langi got the most guaranteed money from New England. He got more than any other undrafted free agent prospects. In other words, Belichick will go after every player that attracts his attention. If the head coach shows further interest in the talented player, he can easily step forward with an offer. Let’s see how will the NFL Draft end first. Belichick may get the players he needs in the next couple of weeks.
