Report: Patriots Give Their Take On If Jarrett Stidham’s Readiness To Replace TB12

The New England Patriots will enter the 2020 season with a new quarterback. A new player will lead the offense for the first time in twenty decades. Rookie quarterback Jarrett Stidham is one option. Brian Hoyer is the other option. Well, some analysts say that head coach Bill Belichick will add another veteran quarterback through a trade or the draft. Stidham will have big shoes to fill and coach Belichick is very confident about his performance. Stidham is ready to replace TB12.

Matt Miller from Bleacher Report reported that both the Patriots head coach and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels are very confident about Stidham’s readiness to lead the team. They also believe that Stidham will stay with the team for quite some time. The Patriots drafted the 23-year-old with their fourth-round pick in 2019. The organization views him as the quarterback of the future. Yes, Stidham may be the best player to replace Brady.

Will Jarrett replace TB12?

Brady broke ties with the Patriots. Many thought the team would pursue Jameis Winston or Cam Newton. It turns out that Winston was in no way an option. Newton has some medical concerns trailing his performance. Some reports suggested that the Patriots trade for Tua Tagovailoa in the 2020 NFL Draft. Maybe Belichick will trust Stidham. Maybe he is the best option New England has at the moment.

Analysts said Stidham was a top-10 selection in the 2019 NFL Draft before his final year at Auburn. Instead of making a move, he made a step back and the Patriots finally got him with the No. 133 selection. Stidham was brilliant in the preseason with a 102.6 quarterback rating and 731 passing yards, while completing 67.8% of his attempts. He had a year to learn from Josh McDaniels. He also watched Brady and followed his work ethic.

Brian Hoyer will probably be a backup quarterback. He is pretty familiar with the Patriots offense. Belichick may add a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. Our bet? Belichick will go with Stidham in September. He is the quarterback to replace Brady. The Patriots need a big name this spring. Stidham is 23. He doesn’t have a lot of experience though.
