Report: Rob Gronkowski Traded To Buccaneers For 4th-Round Pick

The New England Patriots are sending tight end Rob Gronkowski and a seventh-round draft pick to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team brought this decision on Tuesday. The Patriots will get a fourth-round draft pick in return as noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer noted that the tight end has passed his physical with the Bucs.

“Rob has agreed to play for Tampa this season,” Gronkowski’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. “He will honor his current contract at this time.”

According to reports, Gronk has been working on his body. He is ready to return to the field. His reunion with TB12 has shocked everyone.

Gronk went on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Monday. He used the chance to drop a hint on his retirement.

“Gronk reuniting with Brady — wherever Brady ended — always felt like a real scenario behind the scenes,” Jeff Darlington wrote. “I can’t understate the appreciation, on and off the field, they have for each other. Gronk was done with the Patriots… but he never wanted to be done catching TDs from Brady.”

Gronk is happy where he is now. He will play with Tom again.

“I’m feeling good right now, I’m happy where I’m at,” he said. “You just never know, man. You just never know. One never knows. I’m not totally done.”

The tight end decided to call it career right before the start of the 2019 season. He spent eight seasons with the Patriots. During his time with the team, he was a three-time Super Bowl champion, five-time Pro Bowler and four-time first-team All-Pro selection. The star tight end was able to catch 521 passes for 7,861 yards and 79 scores.

Gronk was bugged with a lot of injuries. He was forced to miss 29 games in his pro career and 13 games in his last three seasons alone. The tight end posted double-digit touchdown receptions in five of his first six campaigns and stacked a total of 14 touchdowns in the period between 2016 and 18.
