Robert Kraft Reflects On Choice To Donate Masks To NYC

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft decided to help Massachusetts in the efforts to control the spread of coronavirus. The governor of Massachusetts pulled out a deal to get essential medical supplies from China to handle the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they needed someone to transport the material back to the United States. That’s when the Patriots owner offered his help. Kraft offered up the team plane to help governor Charlie Baker transport one million N95 masks to the Commonwealth.

Baker arrived at Logan Airport on Thursday in Boston to meet the plane. He thanked the Kraft family for their great efforts. Kraft also praised the governor, expressing his gratitude for the government’s efforts to handle the crisis.

“I thought it would be great if we could do something to actually compliment governor (Andrew) Cuomo’s great leadership in (New York), so I wound up speaking to the governor of Massachusetts and said, would he allow us to give 300 thousand of the masks to the people of New York City,” Kraft said, via NBC Boston. “He immediately … said yes. And I think that’s so cool that a Republican governor wanted to do whatever he could to work with a Democratic governor in Cuomo. This transcends politics and brings everything together.”

Robert Kraft is ready to provide even more help

Kraft hopes his gesture would bring rivals together. He may have given the New York Giants and New York Jets fans a good reason to respect his team.

“I personally have a deep affection for all the citizens of New York City, and in a way, I just thought it might be cool if the owner of the New England Patriots is doing whatever he can to help Jets and Giants fans have better health.”

This crisis won’t go away in the near future, and we need to stay united at this point. The pandemic affects us all. The virus doesn’t make a difference between people with different political backgrounds.

We are in the middle of a big situation, and the entire world is trying to find a solution to the crisis. The virus has taken so many lives, and over 600,000 people are infected. Let’s hope that things will be much better in the next few weeks.
