Stephen A. Smith Gives His Take On Who Will Replace LeBron As The Face Of The NBA

LeBron James has three titles under his belt. He is off to winning another title with the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, COVID-19 sort of stood on his way to the big win. LeBron enjoys his great home workouts, and from what we can see, he is more than ready to hit the court. LeBron is 35, and he will have to retire at some point. Retirement is not even an option now. LeBron is off to winning more games with the Lakers. However, Stephen A. Smith already knows which player will actually replace LeBron.

Smith and Max Kellerman had another debate, and they discussed the NBA player who will “carry the torch” after the king. According to Smith, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry will take the throne. Is there any chance for Curry to become the new face of the NBA?

“He’s a good-looking dude, he’s a nice guy, very affable as well,” Smith said. “And when he speaks people listen, and I think the combination of all of those things would lend itself towards him being a kind of guy that could easily be the face of the NBA for the foreseeable future, because I think that he’s got plenty of time left in his career.”

Will Curry win enough games to replace LeBron?

Curry and his Warriors didn’t have much luck this season. They were so close to winning a title last season. But, Kawhi Leonard and the Toronto Raptors won the championship. Klay Thompson tore his ACL, Kevin Durant got injured, and the Warriors were done. Durant left the team, and Klay was out throughout the entire season. Curry couldn’t handle the pressure on his own. He broke his hand, and that injury put an end to the season for the Golden State.

Curry was out and he missed the chance to play his great game. Well, he will have plenty of time to show off. Thompson will be back in 2021, and he will join Curry in the effort to take the Golden State to the top. Let’s see what happens with this season first. It will be a challenging season for every NBA team.
