This Absurd Stat Sums Up Patriots’ Two-Decade Run Of Dominance

Tom Brady left the New England Patriots after two decades. This marked an end to an era, and the Patriots will have to get used to the new change. However, NFL analysts gladly look back on the Patriots’ two-decade dominance. Brady helped the Patriots win six Super Bowls. Thanks to him, the team made a lot of appearances.

Brady and the Patriots have really great success during their time together. New England was happy to have Brady around. He was an icon and a legend. Every NFL player looked up to him. The Patriots dynasty thrived for two decades. Is it over now?

Boston Sports Info took to Twitter to share a stat that showcases this dominance.

New England was first among all NFL teams in regards to wins against playoff franchises dating back to 2001. According to this stat, New England has won 63.6 percent of games (63-36) against playoff franchises during this period.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the second-best team. They are 18 percent behind them. Pittsburgh won 45.3 percent of its games (48-58-1) against playoff teams since 2001.

The Patriots’ dominance was obvious

The best part? Just wait for it.

“If the Pats went (0-40) in their next 40 games vs playoff teams, they would still be ranked first,” Boston Sports Info added.

This is more than a dynasty. It’s more than success. New England was unbeatable, and no team could handle their power. Brady and head coach Bill Belichick made it happen. Belichick acquired a lot of talented players throughout all this time, and each of them contributed to the team’s success. New England was ready to win every Super Bowl it reached. They won six. Brady has six rings on his hands. He is the GOAT.

The Patriots will have to rely on Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer in 2020. But, Belichick may sign another veteran quarterback. He may also pick one during the 2020 NFL Draft. The situation is rather complicated, but Belichick always has a plan in his pocket. His winning formula helped the team dominate the NFL for twenty years. That’s not something you underestimate.
