Watch: Everything You Missed Patriots’ Julian Edelman Virtual Workout Class

Patriots wideout Julian Edelman was pretty busy on Thursday night. Edelman had his sweatbands on and did a 10-minute virtual workout class via Planet Fitness. The wideout didn’t use any equipment. This class was actually part of the “Home Work-In” series.

Edelman had his shoulder surgery recently and feels great. In this video, we can see his incredible instructing skills and enthusiasm. We are in the middle of a pandemic, and physical activity is really important for everyone.

“This s a dream of mine,” the wideout said in his video.

So what did Edelman do during his class?

1. 20 jumping jacks

2. 20 push-ups: According to Edelman, you should keep your hands at your shoulders and your butt up in the air.

3. 20 jumping jacks

4.  20 toe touches: Keep your feet straight and bring shoulder blades off the floor when going up.

5. 20 suitcases

6. 20 traditional sit-ups

Edelman was full of enthusiasm. At one point of the video, we could see him shout, “What number am I on, Brady? What number am I on?” No, it wasn’t Tom Brady. “My producer’s named Brady,” said Edelman, pointing to his earpiece.

Edelman had a winning workout

Retired fitness instructor Richard Simmons taught him well. Edelman follows three simple rules: 1. We have fun; 2. We’re cutting calories, baby; and 3. Work them buns.

7. 20 squats: Bend your legs and keep your chest up. Make sure your knees wide through the hips, and keep your butt back.

8. 20 lunges: For the star wideout, this works like “squishing a bug.” All you have to do is keep your knee above your ankle and bend your back leg. Bring your chest up and keep your core tight. Suck in your abs.

Edelman made a water break. “Hydration is crucial,” he said. “Old quarterback I used to have used to talk about it a lot. Brady, what was his name? Oh yeah, never mind.”

Edelman noticed some of his viewers, and shouted out to “Rebecca from Boston” and “Liz in Texas.” It was an incredible session for Edelman, and yes, he is ready for a challenge.
