Watch: Julian Edelman Shares Touching Message Celebrating Bill Belichick’s Birthday

April 16 is a really important day for the Patriots nation. It marks the anniversary of the Patriots selecting Tom Brady in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. It marks the beginning of the longest football dynasty. That’s not all. It’s also the date of Bill Belichick’s birthday.

Patriots star wideout Julian Edelman shared a video message for his dear coach, wishing him a very happy birthday. It was an emotional message and you will sure love it.

Belichick’s birthday will be celebrated differently

Belichick’s lovely lady shared a heartfelt post to wish him a happy birthday. In the comments of her post, some of her friends, along with a lot of Patriots fans, popped in with great birthday wishes. Among those to leave a lovely message included Raina Patricia, wife of former Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia. Elin Hilderbrand was there, too. She is a Nantucket resident and romance novelist.

Belichick began coaching the Patriots in 2000. He turned 68. He is the second-oldest active coach in the NFL. Pete Carroll of the Seattle Seahawks is on top of the list.

In addition to his everlasting drip, coach B got a lengthy list of accomplishments. He’s the league’s longest-tenured active head coach, first all-time in playoff coaching wins (31) and third in regular season coaching wins (261). That’s not all.

The great Bill was named the AP NFL Coach of the Year in 2003, 2007 and 2010. He is the only active head coach that was named to the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

Belichick worked inside the NFL family for 45 years. He has coached in several organizations outside of the Giants and Patriots, including the Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, Denver Broncos and New York Jets.

Belichick is probably staying home due to the coronavirus pandemic. In past years, the Patriots coach has celebrated his birthday in one of his favorite vacation spots. He really loves Jupiter, Fla.

Belichick has accepted a big challenge this offseason. He is building his winning formula without Brady in sight. TB12 is a Buccaneer now. Belichick will start off training camp without his favorite player.
