David Blatt Chooses Michael Jordan Over LeBron By Giving Very Bizarre Reasons

David Blatt won’t really remain unbiased when it comes to picking a side. The GOAT debate revolves around Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Blatt coached LeBron for a year-and-a-half in Cleveland. The team fired him in his second season. What happened next? Blatt had plenty of time to watch Ty Lue and the Cavaliers win a title. The Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors.

Blatt’s failure in Cleveland didn’t really affect his pick. But, he still decided to go with Jordan. According to him, Jordan is better player than LeBron. During his interview with Israel Hayom Blatt chose Jordan, and let’s just say that his reasons don’t make any sense at all.

“Michael Jordan is greater than LeBron James,” Blatt explained. “He won the most championships with one single team and did not focus on the ‘I’ but on the ‘us.’ But surely, in terms of ability and influence, they are both included in the top five best players in history.”

This doesn’t make any sense at all. Some would say that Blatt made ridiculous comments. He forgets that there’s no added value in winning titles with one team. Blatt has coached 11 teams in his career. If this makes sense, then Bill Russell should take the top position. He won 11 with the Boston Celtics.

David Blatt made a mistake

Bulls’ assistant coach Tex Winter kept telling Jordan that there’s no “I” in “team.” What did Jordan say to this? “No, but there’s an ‘I’ in ‘win.’”

The Lakers superstar has a skill-set that fits team plays better than the one Jordan had. LeBron has averaged 7.4 assists per game for his career. Jordan reached this total in only one season. It happened during the 1988-89 season. Jordan finished it playing at point guard. Phil Jackson used the triangle offense to force Jordan to share the ball and support his teammates. LeBron didn’t have any problem with that. In fact, he does his best to make his teammates better players. He has been helping them bring the best to the floor. He leads the league in assists, remember?

The GOAT debate won’t end here. Who’s the next to speak their mind on the discussion?
