Former Patriots Lineman Gives Telling Comment On QB Jarrett Stidham

The New England Patriots trust QB Jarrett Stidham and head coach Bill Belichick is about to give him a leading role. Stidham will come under center in September, and a former offensive lineman shared his thoughts on this possibility.

New England will go with the former Auburn Tigers quarterback in 2020. Belichick and Nick Caserio didn’t select a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. Numerous reports suggest that they will be making a big pick in 2021. Yes, some analysts believe that the Patriots will try to get Lawrence. But, Belichick has said that the team has what they need to start off the new season. That was the answer to every question about the quarterback situation in Foxboro.

The Patriots have been linked with several top names this offseason. Some thought that Cam Newton would end up playing with Julian Edelman and the McCourty twins. But, the team didn’t make a move to get him.

QB Jarrett Stidham is ready for the challenge

Rich Ohrnberger has something to say about this one. He played with the Patriots from 2009-11. Ohrnberger took to his Twitter account over the weekend to share his take on the quarterback situation in New England.

“I’ve heard it now from A LOT of people close to the Patriots,” the offensive lineman tweeted. “They really believe in Jarrett Stidham. Like it or not, Stidham is not a cheap placeholder… he’s the future.”

Stidham was a big name in the NFL Draft, but he didn’t really do a lot in New England. Well, he will hopefully do better as a leading quarterback this season. The second-year quarterback will have to try really hard to replace Tom Brady. The GOAT left the Patriots after two decades. He signed a two-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will probably finish his career as a Bucs quarterback.

The Buccaneers are ready to start off the most-anticipated season in the past two decades. They have the GOAT on the roster. Having Brady as a leading quarterback is a great thing, and the Bucs can hope for a big win. TB12 will play with a bunch of great receivers. It’s time for a big game!
