Giannis Antetokounmpo Issues Apology To LeBron James And Others After Disturbing Twitter Hack

The coronavirus pandemic is making people do stupid things. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokoumpo is a target now. Someone decided to crack a hack joke on him. Well, it wasn’t really a joke. Someone wanted to hurt people. They did it through Giannis’ name.

Someone hacked into Giannis’ Twitter account and shared series of racist tweets. NBA fans took notice of the tweets, and the internet went on fire. We don’t know the identity of this person, but he or she hurt a lot of people.

Katie DeLong of Milwaukee’s Fox 6 Now, reported that the first tweet appeared at 2:30 p.m. local time. The derogatory tweets were deleted within 15 minutes.

Giannis was involved in a hack scandal

Kostas Antetokounmpo plays for the Los Angeles Lakers. He stepped in defense for his brother. Kostas confirmed that the hacker targeted his brother’s phone, email, twitter and bank accounts. Kostas took to Twitter to share his brother’s message, apologizing on his behalf. “The things that were said by this hacker were extremely inappropriate and disgusting!” he wrote.

This wasn’t the only problem. The person wrote that Giannis had coronavirus and spread hate towards Asians.

When it comes to LeBron, the person said that the Lakers superstar hired a hitman. As if that wasn’t enough, the person wrote that Giannis was going to the Warriors.

Eric Woodyard confirmed that the Bucks are investigating the situation.

Giannis recovered his Twitter and delivered a message for everyone concerned. He apologized to everyone.

“Hi everybody! I’m back and would like to address the social media incident from earlier today! I was hacked and the situation is currently being investigated. The tweets and posts were extremely inappropriate and I am so disappointed and disgusted that somebody would say the terrible things that were said! I feel terrible that the Bucks, Khris, LeBron, and the Curry family were included in the malicious and untrue tweets. I feel especially terrible for the Bryant family, during their time of grief they should not be subjected to this type of negativity and foul behavior. Thank you all for always supporting my family and I, and please stay safe!”
