Los Angeles Lakers Should Trade Kyle Kuzma For Victor Oladipo

The Los Angeles Lakers were in a really good position before the NBA suspended the season. They won a lot of games before the hiatus, and they were in a really good position to go for the title. The Lakers would definitely make the NBA playoffs for the first time in Kobe Bryant’s era. LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the team in the past several months, and they got a lot of help from their teammates. JaVale McGee, Rajon Rondo and many others gave their best to win games. Kyle Kuzma had a big role on the roster too, and the Lakers may now trade him for Victor Oladipo. Is that even possible?

The Lakers have a really big opportunity to go for a championship, but they have to think of their future.
Davis will hit free agency this summer, and he may easily sign with another team. He can go to Chicago. He can stay in Los Angeles. If he decides to go somewhere else, the Lakers will be left with a big void.

Let’s go all the way to LeBron. He is 35, and this is his 17th season. The three-time NBA champion is in his primetime but he is aging. Even the king of basketball can’t stop the aging process. Don’t forget that a big injury can easily put an end to his season or even career. We’ve seen that happen. Remember what happened with the Golden State Warriors? They were competing for a title, and then fell to the bottom of the list. Kevin Durant is gone. Stephen Curry got injured. Klay Thompson sustained an injury. This marked the end of the perfect season.

Kyle Kuzma for Victor Oladipo

How will the Lakers prevent a similar destiny? They may trade Kuzma, Danny Green, Alex Caruso, and a first-round pick for the Indiana star.

Oladipo comes off a big injury. However, he is the right fit for the Lakers. He won’t have a problem being a backup star in LA. He has a good shooting, passing and shot-creating abilities. In 13 games during the 2019-20 season, Oladipo averaged 13.8 points, 3 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
