Patriots’ Julian Edelman Helping Holocaust Survivors During COVID-19 Crisis

New England Patriots star wideout Julian Edelman decided to do something about Holocaust survivors during these hard times. Edelman worked alongside Isiah Thomas, Skylar Astin, Dolores Catania, Edelman, and many other athletes and celebrities to raise funds and deliver a decent meal to Holocaust survivors. Many of these people can’t leave their homes during the coronavirus pandemic.

The celebs and athletes have worked together with 333 Charity and the UJA-Federation. They are teaching a virtual total body conditioning workout class with Trooper Fitness. The benefits go to survivors living in New York.

The NBA Hall of Famer had an interview with Page Six, and he said that watching New York and every other city in the world struggle against COVID-19 had been really difficult. Thomas and his family were happy to join forces with 333 Charity and other organizations on Giving Tuesday to provide meal deliveries for Holocaust survivors. Many of these people live in poverty and the coronavirus makes everything even worse.

Holocaust survivors need our support

There are about 36,000 Holocaust survivors living in New York. About 40 percent of these people are poor as noted by 333 Charity. These people have already been through a lot. They have been strong for too long. This small effort will be of great help for them. They really needed someone to stand by their side.

The charity workout class went live at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday via Zoom. The proceeds will become meals for survivors in need.

You all could do a $20 minimum donation on 333 Charity’s website.

Edelman did a really good job, and hopefully, other athletes and celebrities will follow his example. There are so many people in need at the moment. A lot of people were left without any money, and we all struggle. People are starving. Think about that. Even the smallest donation can put a smile on someone’s face. Edelman did his thing. It’s up to us to provide similar support. We are together in this one. Wash your hands, practice social distance and stay home. This virus will soon disappear, and we need to stay united more than ever.
