Patriots’ Robert Kraft, Julian Edelman Congratulate To The Class Of 2020

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, star wideout Julian Edelman and many other players congratulated the class of 2020. They all delivered messages full of love and support.

Devin McCourty, Edelman, David Andrews and James White were featured in a video that was later released by the team on Twitter. In the video, we can see Kraft and his six Super Bowl trophies. According to him, graduates were actually champions.

“2020 graduates, you are all patriots and true champions,” Kraft said. “Congratulations.”

Graduation ceremonies across the country are canceled. The COVID-19 pandemic shut down every process in the country. A lot of celebrities and sports figures did an effort to deliver virtual messages for the students. They all did a good job.

“I know it’s a little different this year, but it is still a special day for you all and a huge accomplishment in life,” White said in the clip. “I know this is a step in the right direction, so you can achieve all your goals and aspirations.”

The McCourty twin appeared in the video, and shared a short and encouraging message. “Don’t let anyone ever tell you that you can’t do something,” he said. “Go chase your dreams and be great.”

The Class of 2020 was disappointed

Students started off a petition. This move didn’t come as a surprise.

“We deserve the chance to walk across the stage,” their petition reads. “With a traditional graduation, the 12+ years that seniors have been working for will feel officially validated and worth it. We get to have a graduation on a Facebook Live and that’s something that nobody wants to have. At least if we can’t have a prom, give us the choice to wait.”

Students were really disappointed. They have been under lockdown for two months, and the situation doesn’t seem to do any better now. But, they all get a chance to enjoy their virtual graduation ceremonies. Lakers superstar LeBron James took part of a nice ceremony, and it was featured on all platforms.

This was a bad year for everyone, including athletes. The NBA suspended the season. The NFL canceled meetings. But, it may improve in the near future.
