Report: Patriots’ Tackle Yodny Cajuste ‘Good To Go’ After Lost Rookie Season

The New England Patriots didn’t have Yodny Cajuste on the field last year. However, one of the Patriots’ 2019 draft picks is ready to join the team in 2020.

According to ESPN’s Mike Reiss, the offensive tackle is “healthy and good to go.” Cajuste didn’t participate in a single game or practice as an NFL rookie.

NESN’s Dough Kyed reported in March that Cajuste will be ready to join the team in training camp.

Cajuste was considered a potential first-round talent in 2019 before sustaining a pre-draft quad injury. He needed to have a surgery to fix the problem. New England took Cajuste late in the third round and he was 101st overall. Cajuste’s injury was expected to keep him on the sidelines for three months. Unfortunately, this wiped out his entire rookie campaign. This wasn’t the scenario he imagined for his debut with the New England Patriots.

Yodny Cajuste joins a talented team

The Patriots lacked depth in 2019. This was a major problem for the championship winning team. New England was forced to start free agent Marshal Newhouse for half of the regular season. This happened after left tackle Isaiah Wynn ended up on injured reserve in September.

The Patriots have Wynn, Marcus Cannon, Cajuste, Korey Cunningham and 2020 sixth-round draft pick Justin Herron.

Herron was confirmed as a guard however he will probably have tackle reps in training camp.

The Patriots will enter the 2020 season with a completely different roster. Brady is out of the team, and he will now play with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots have a roster packed with talent, and they are ready for 2020.

Head coach Bill Belichick selected a group of talented players in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he filled up the voids left by Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy.

This will be a challenging season for the Patriots, and they are expected to make a few more changes. Bill Belichick will fix his roster to perfection, and he won’t give up without a good team. The Patriots have won six Super Bowls, and they are getting ready for another big win in 2020.
