Schedule Rumors: Here’s Who Patriots Will Face In First Four Weeks

The New England Patriots added a lot of talented rookies in the 2020 NFL Draft. Head coach Bill Belichick and Co. are ready to lead the team to another great season. The Patriots lost the Wild Card round in 2019. Will they make the same mistake again? Some analysts believe that the Patriots won’t even make the top in 2020. This may be true, because the schedule may not be that easy for the Patriots.

Although we won’t know the exact order of the Patriots’ games until Thursday night, ESPN’s John Clayton shared an interesting report Wednesday on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh. According to him, each NFL team will open the season with four consecutive non-conference games.

The AFC East and NFC West are inter-conference partners this year. In other words, the Patriots’ first four games will feature the Arizona Cardinals (home), Los Angeles Rams (away), San Francisco 49ers (home) and Seattle Seahawks (away).

Each of these games will provide an interesting story. The Patriots will confront Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury for the first time. They will play the first game at the new SoFi Stadium in L.A. Former Patriot Jimmy Garoppolo is coming back to Gillette Stadium. We will also get a chance to watch a Super Bowl XLIX rematch. How about that?

The NFL may change the schedule for the Patriots

The coronavirus pandemic may force the NFL to delay the start of the season. This may turn well for the Patriots. If the NFL puts their L.A. and Seattle games in back-to-back weeks, the Patriots will be able to stay on the West Coast between contests. In this way, they won’t make two additional trips across the country. The Patriots will also visit the Los Angeles Chargers later in the regular season. They are traveling to Houston and Kansas City in 2020. How will this schedule affect their game? Let’s wait and find out. Bill Belichick will enter the new season with a new quarterback. This means that he is ready for whatever challenge comes his way. There’s also a theory suggesting that the Patriots will tank the season.
