Watch: Tight End Devin Asiasi Sign Patriots Contract, Celebration Moment

The New England Patriots welcomed a new member to the family. Tight end Devin Asiasi is officially a Patriot.

Head coach Bill Belichick and Nick Caserio selected Asiasi as a second tight end in the 2020 NFL Draft. New England traded up in the third round to get Asiasi at No. 91 overall. According to a NFL executive, New England “hit a grand slam” by selecting Asiasi. Analysts have had great words for the tight end. He is expected to have a big impact in the Patriots team.

A few weeks after the draft, the Patriots offered Asiasia a four-year deal. His rookie contract was a big reason for him to celebrate. It was a brilliant opportunity for Asiasi, and he celebrated it in the best way possible. The rookie tight end shared a video of his celebration on his Instagram account.

New England signed nine of the ten players Belichick selected in the NFL Draft. Kyle Dugger is the team’s top pic, and he has yet to sign a contract with the team. The Patriots will probably have to free up some cap space to offer him a good deal.

Devin Asiasi is the best fit for the Patriots

When it comes to Asiasi, Derek Sage has nothing but words of praise for the tight end. The UCLA tight end’s coach talked about his potential and the ability to block. According to him, Asiasi is a versatile player with great athleticism. He will be of great help for Belichick’s team.

Asiasi may have some great on-field qualities, but his coach also likes his cooking skills. Yes, you read that right. Sage’s best memory of his two years working with the talented tight end came last Thanksgiving. The tight end spent the holiday helping the coach’s kids bake and decorate their gingerbread cookies. We believe that the Patriots players will love this. Maybe Asiasi can bring some of his delicacies in the locker room.

Asiasi is joining a rather modified Patriots team. Tom Brady, Kyle Van Noy, and many others are out of the organization. He will play with Julian Edelman, the McCourty twins, and a few veterans from the 2019 roster.
