Julian Edelman Shares Never-Before-Seen Photos With His Father Celebrating Father’s Day

New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman shared an emotional message for Father’s Day, and we bet his father, Frank will love every bit of it. His dad has played an important role in Edelman’s life and the Patriots wideout is grateful for everything Frank did for him.

Edelman took to his Instagram account to share photos of his dad, and he used a popular quote to make a statement. “When you’re green you grow, when you’re ripe you rot.” We couldn’t agree more.

“Happy Father’s Day to the guy who has a saying for every situation and taught me everything I know,” the Patriots wideout added.

Did you notice that Edelman’s documentary is more like a father-son story? “100%: Julian Edelman” is based on the wideout’s growth in the NFL world. The relationship between Edelman and his father is what takes the story from being an E60 segment to an enjoyable documentary that appeals to more than just NFL fans.

Julian Edelman received a lot of help and support from his father

The documentary portrays Frank as “a strict task-master” that makes us think of the most concerning sports-parent traits. But, later in the documentary, viewers see him as “a strong-willed, strong-languaged California auto mechanic.” Frank coached Edelman’s youth football teams and also developed a series of great drills to boost his progress.

The documentary also covers the time when Edelman and his dad didn’t speak for 81 days. The wideout was suspended for a failed PED test. Frank came to New England during his son’s suspension and helped him practice.

Frank played a big role in Edelman’s life and the wideout will always remember his advice and coaching. His dad helped him become a big player, and that’s pretty much everything you should know about their relationship. Frank coached Edelman and helped him unveil his great potential.

Today, Edelman is winning games with the New England Patriots and he is off to another great season. His game improved a lot after his four-game suspension. How will Edelman cope with the upcoming season and Tom Brady’s departure? He is fine with that. He is fine with catching passes from Jarrett Stidham.
