Lakers, Clippers, Bucks, Complete NBA Restart Travel Dates Revealed

NBA teams are getting ready for the resumption of the regular 2019-20 season. Now we have the travel dates for the 22 NBA teams making their way to the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. The NBA restart is scheduled for late July, and the dates are more than acceptable.

Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that NBA teams will travel between July 7-9. Here are the exact dates:

  • July 7: Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz, Washington Wizards
  • July 8: Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, New Orleans Pelicans, Oklahoma City Thunder, Sacramento Kings
  • July 9: Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors

Fans can’t wait for the NBA restart

The NBA season will resume on July 30. Players and personnel will go through extensive restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. Yes, there’s a 108-page book of medical protocols, and each team will have to follow it.

This includes coronavirus testing each night. Players won’t be allowed to visit the hotel rooms of other players. There wil be no jersey swaps after games. Basketball players will also shower in their hotel rooms after every game. Showering at the arena is not an option in this case.

The coronavirus caused serious complications, and unfortunately, a lot of Americans tested positive to it. These medical protocols are a must at the moment. Players can’t risk their health, and their safety is a priority at the moment.

Players will have a hard time coping with the fact that there will be no fans. That’s not all. This bubble environment is pretty awkward. Players, coaches, team staff and media members will have to follow strict social distancing guidelines enacted by league officials.

Well, the situation is pretty serious, and this is the new reality in the basketball world. LeBron James and many other high-profile players accepted the idea of going back to the field.
