Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James announces the participation of top names in his initiative. LeBron and his business partner Maverick Carter joined forces with a group of star athletes. They also provided enough money for a non-profit geared towards fighting voter suppression. “More Than A Vote” will support African-Americans in the country.

A week after the official announcement broke, LeBron announced the participation of other top celebrities and athletes. His great organization will fight against voter suppression, and having high-profile athletes on hand would give LeBron the support he needs at the moment.

LeBron James announces the big names

The Lakers superstar will work with former NFL receiver Andrew Hawkins, Allyson Felix, WNBA stars A’Ja Wilson and Arike Ogunbowale and retired NBA star Caron Butler, who also works with the Vera Institute for Justice, as well as Maria Taylor from ESPN.

LeBron ended his announcement with a quote from his mother, Gloria, “Don’t talk about it, be about it.”

We don’t really have too much information about the details related to the organization. LeBron has yet to announce their future goals and the initial plans. This is just the beginning of his organization. He has attracted the attention of many people, and that’s more than positive. He is getting the attention he needs to move on with his big goal.

The death of George Floyd shocked the entire nation and people still protest in the streets. The African-American died at the hands of the Minneapolis police, and the police officers lost their jobs and face charges. Floyd is one of the many Americans who were killed by police officers, and the terror needs to be stopped.

Authorities have initiated an investigation into Floyd’s case. There are also investigations in the cases of many others. We don’t know how the whole thing will end, but people are impatient. We need to know more about this. Floyd’s family is looking for answers. Hopefully, they will find the peace they have been loking for. Is that even possible? Another African-American was killed these days, and things don’t look good at all.
