Mike Miller’s Sends Cryptic Message to LeBron James After Avery Bradley Opts Out of NBA Return

Retired NBA guard Mike Miller wrote a cryptic tweet for his former teammate LeBron James and it’s related to the NBA return. Miller wrote his tweet in a response to Avery Bradley’s decision not to return to the Lakers for the resumption of the 2019-20 season on June 30. Bradley plans to spend more time with his ailing son. Miller used the opportunity to ask LeBron if the position is still open.

The NBA’s new regulations for the “bubble” season in Orlando, Florida, allows the Los Angeles Lakers to replace players who won’t return to the field in July.

Bradley was an excellent shooter and defensive player for the Lakers. He had great contribution to the Lakers’ backcourt this season. Miller last played for the Denver Nuggets in 2017. He was a respected 3- and –D player throughout his career.

LeBron James could really use Mike Miller for the NBA return

Miller measures at 6 feet 8 and he has developed great chemistry with King James. He won back-to-back titles with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013.

When it comes to his career averages, Miller’s numbers are great. He was averaging 10.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 steals in his 18 seasons in the NBA. The Lakers have their eyes on Larry O’Brien trophy and they will definitely use Miller’s 40.7 percent success rate from downtown.

Many would say that Miller was just teasing fans. He is an assistant coach under Penny Hardway for the University of Memphis. It would definitely be great to see him back on the floor. But, the Lakers have much better options to choose from at this point.

JR Smith is a frontrunner and he has also played with LeBron. Los Angeles will probably win a championship this season and players hit the best record in the West. LeBron, Anthony Davis, Kyle Kuzma, JaVale McGee and many others helped the team hit a 49-14 record prior to the suspension in March.

The Lakers will probably have to find a few more players. Back-up center Dwight Howard was among those who supported Kyrie Irving, so yes, his status is still questionable.
