NFL Analyst Believes This Patriots Player Is Set To Thrive In 2020 Season

The New England Patriots will enter the 2020 season with a lot of surprises. The departure of Tom Brady is definitely the biggest one. There have been so many rumors and stories about the Patriots, and one of them includes David Andrews.

Andrews missed the entire last season due to the blood clots in his lungs. In late April, the Patriots superstar announced he has been cleared to play. Ted Karras was a perfect fit for the Patriots and he did fill in the void Andrews left last season. However, the Georgia product rank among the best centers in the NFL. He has a big role in the Patriots offense, and the team can’t wait to have him back.

The Patriots will make a big splash in the 2020 season

In a recent piece for NFL.com, NFL analyst Gil Brandt listed 12 players who will have a big game in 2020 after missing the last season. Andrews made the list, and this list also features Ben Roethlisberger, A.J. Green, Trent Williams and J.J. Watt.

“In addition to the retirement of Rob Gronkowski, another factor in the Patriots’ struggles in 2019 was the offensive line’s inability to meet the high standards set in previous years, thanks in part to the absence of Andrews, who was forced to miss the season as he dealt with blood clots in his lungs,” Brandt wrote. “Andrews’ return is great news for second-year pro Jarrett Stidham, who can rely on the veteran center to help set pass protection as he embarks on the monstrous task of replacing Tom Brady in New England. Andrews will also help strengthen the rushing attack, which should make life a bit easier for Stidham.”

Brandt is absolutely right. The Patriots will need all the help they can get in 2020. Andrews was missed this last season. His impeccable talent could really work for the Patriots’ new roster.

Andrews was able to connect with second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham. He is set to replace Tom Brady, and Patriots players are confident about his leading role. Stidham learned a lot from the GOAT, and he will also receive a lot of help from Brian Hoyer.
