NFL Analyst Predicts Quarterback Trade For The Patriots

The New England Patriots will enter the upcoming season without Tom Brady. This will be their first Brady-less season in two decades. TB12 will no longer lead his team at Gillette Stadium, and Jarrett Stidham will probably try to replace him. The Patriots didn’t trade for a replacement this offseason. Head coach Bill Belichick didn’t select a quarterback in the 2020 NFL Draft. Does this mean that he will stay with Stidham and Brian Hoyer? Which quarterback will start games for the Patriots?

Although the Patriots are pretty quiet now, they have been linked to former first-round selection. Bleacher Report’s Chris Roling believes that the Patriots will try to get Josh Rosen from Miami.

Rosen didn’t have much success with the Dolphins in 2019. He also failed to score a lot with the Arizona Cardinals.

A quarterback fit for the Patriots

What makes Roling say this about the New England Patriots?

“It would make sense for Belichick to send a late-round pick to New England’s AFC East rival to at least see what Rosen has to offer. The UCLA product could benefit from a new environment, and if they don’t like what they see, the Patriots wouldn’t have to keep him on the final 53-man roster.”

The Miami Dolphins don’t really have enough room for Rosen on their roster. They used the first-round pick on Tua Tagovailoa. Even if he doesn’t start gams this fall, the offensive line will use the help from veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Miami may want to trade Rosen in the division. However, this deal makes perfect sense for both teams. Will head coach Bill Belichick show any interest in him? He looks pretty confident about Stidham and Hoyer. Both players have great talent. Stidham learned a lot from Brady last season, and Hoyer can lead his way on the field. Stidham doesn’t have any experience, and that’s where Hoyer steps in.

2020 will be a bold season for Belichick’s team, and he armed the team with a lot of talented weapons. Will he try to go after Rosen? Some say he will get a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. Let’s see how will the team do in September.
