Patrick Beverley Throws A Jab at Jared Dudley, Lakers Vet Buries Him

The Los Angeles Lakers are on top of the West, and the Clippers are right after them. The teams have built strong rivalry, and players from both sides tend to say words for each other. Clippers guard Patrick Beverley is the first player to throw a jab at Lakers Jared Dudley.

Dudley is one of the most vocal Lakers since he came to LA. He pointed out that there has to be more concern about the potential “soft tissue injuries” upon the season resumption. Beverley reacted to Dudley’s comments. What did Dudley do? He fired back.

Beverley and the Clippers suffered a loss to LeBron James’ Lakers before the season suspension. Well, before that, the Clippers went 2-0 against the inner-city rival.

The Lakers did much better with Anthony Davis and LeBron. The Clippers had better depth on the roster. We can’t really believe that both teams will meet in the playoffs.

Patrick Beverley made a mistake to mess up with the Lakers

If the Lakers and Clippers play again, they will play without some of their key contributors. Bradley has already told the Lakers that he will sit out for the league return. When it comes to the Clippers, Lou Williams told Andrew Greif from the Los Angeles Times that he may not play.

“I think for us, the only benefit of us not playing is to keep the focus on the fight. And with that being said, this is in six weeks, so we don’t know what it looks like in six weeks. In six weeks the world may need some healing, they may need us to be on the floor. But if more Black kids or more Black adults or any adults that’s dealing with police brutality are getting killed and we’re still outraged, I don’t know if it’s in our best interests to suit up because it looks like we don’t care. You know what I mean? It’s just a fine balance we’re trying to create.

“…If we do suit up, how much of this platform can we really use? Can we get a ‘Black Lives Matter’ patch on our jerseys? Can our jerseys say ‘Black Lives Matter’? Will the court say ‘Black Lives Matter,’ so we can use that platform to the best of our abilities? So it’s just hard to call, bro. it’s honestly, it’s hard to call. I’m 50-50 right now, to be honest with you.”

Well, it’s hard to make any prediction at this point. A lot of players backed up Kyrie Irving in his comments against the NBA return. But, most high-profile players are all-in when it comes to returning to the floor.
