Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Steps Up Once Again Donating To Social Justice Causes

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft made another donation to support social justice. Kraft and his family will donate $1 million to the efforts to end systemic racism in the country. Ten organizations will receive parts of the donation. Patriots players will choose which organizations should receive funds. Several sources confirmed the information, including the organization itself.

“Over the next 10 months,” the statement read, “the Kraft family is pledging $1 million in $100,000 monthly donations to local grassroots organizations — chosen in collaboration with Patriots players — that are fighting for equity, working to end systemic racism and creating meaningful change in our community.”

Patriots owner Robert Kraft delivers a message

Kraft and his family invited organizations to contact the Kraft Group businesses, encouraging them to help raise general awareness.

“Change always begins with listening and learning,” the statement continued. “These organizations will be invited to speak to our executive staff and senior management across the Kraft Group businesses so we can learn about their work and continue to grow in knowledge and awareness, especially among those in leadership positions.

“Our eyes, ears and hearts are open.”

A lot of players have voiced their opinion on social media. The death of George Floyd was the last shot people were willing to receive. Now they are fed up. We are fed up. This society needs a change and now is the time to make one. The biggest one.

The Patriots have “sacrificed” their game to discuss the topic. Some of the players have had unpleasant xperiences in the past, and although the topic may not be comfortable for most of them, they had to talk. Head coach Bill Belichick had a key role in the conversation and he actually led it. This conversation will have a huge impact on the team, and it’s good to see them united at this point.

Social injustice affects many aspects of our lives. Authorities need to do something about it. We are together in this one. The problem affects people with different backgrounds. George Floyd was African-American. What about all the people who had the same destiny? All the people who died in the streets?
