Jets Player Makes Honest Admission About Cam Newton Bill Belichick Potential

Cam Newton joined Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots this offseason, and his signing caused a huge mess in the NFL. Everyone started talking about this. The 2015 NFL MVP will join forces with the best head coach in the NFL and that’s impressive on so many levels. Newton is 31, and his arrival in New England scares at least one player in the AFC East.

“It’s definitely terrifying to think if Cam Newton’s healthy and he’s in Belichick’s offense, you know, in my division, it could be a long year for the other teams, because he’s a game-changer,” New York Jets offensive lineman Greg Van Roten told SirusXM NFL Radio on Saturday. “He came into the league, you know, he’s a league MVP, brought a team to the Super Bowl — he’s just built differently than a lot of quarterbacks. And he’s a headache to game plan for.”

Cam Newton and Bill Belichick may do wonders together

Van Roten spent some time with Newton for five seasons with the Carolina Panthers. He has seen Newton win games, and he is well aware of Newton’s dominance?

“So when he’s healthy, you can stop the run from him, but then you gotta defend the pass. If you can stop the pass, well then you’ve got to account for the run. So, it’s basically, pick one thing and he’ll do the other. And then you couple him with Belichick, who only cares about winning and Cam really wants to prove himself, so it’s definitely a recipe for disaster for the rest of the league if they can figure it out.”

Van Roten’s theory may be true. Things look really well for the team. The Patriots got a nice quarterback, but we have yet to see whether Belichick will use Newton as a starter.

The Patriots will have to make a few bold changes this summer. 2020 will be a challenging season for the Patriots, and they are willing to accept the challenge. Tom Brady is out, and he will lead another team to the big game. Belichick is confident about his new team and he likes how things work at the moment.
