Julian Edelman Playfully Accepts Prestigious Offseason Award From ‘Pardon My Take’

New England Patriots wideout Julian Edelman loves to exercise and win an award. You can tell that by all the videos and photos he shares. What’s his second favorite thing? It’s having people take photos and videos of him doing exercise. Edelman once had a full documentary about him and his body. Half of the documentary was just him doing exercises. Without his shirt on, of course. How does Edelman feel about this? He enjoys every bit of it!

It’s more than acceptable for a player with a bod like that. The Patriots wideout has now earned the greatest reward for his favorite off-field activity.

Tom Brady’s favorite wideout won the Takie Award from the podcast “Pardon My Take” for “Thirst Trap Of The Year.” The former host of “To Catch A Predator,” Chris Hansen presented the award. You saw that coming, right?

A “thirst trap” is a photo shared on social media featuring someone’s body. People post these photos to say, “Hey, world. Here’s my body. Check it out, why don’t you? LOOK AT IT. Thank you.”

Edelman has been a guest on the podcast. The veteran wideout took a lot of heat from PMT hosts for using the great Father’s Day as a chance to share a thirst trap on Instagram. Here’s the photo Edelman posted:

Julian Edelman has a big award

The hosts gave the wideout a hard time for this photo during his visit of the show. Edelman’s reaction was priceless.

“I just want to thank everyone who made this moment possible,” Edelman tweeted. “First and foremost the holiday of Father’s Day, for providing me an outlet. Everyone from my photographer to my strength coach. To the @PardonMyTake guys. And of course… the [Award-Winning Listeners]. You all made this dream a reality.”

Does Edelman deserve this award? His response may be tongue-in-cheek, but it’s nothing in comparison to the production value that Blake Griffin added to his win in the “Blake of the Year” category.

Edelman has great passion for film making, and he may be going for another mini-documentary next summer.

At the moment, Edelman may or may not clear any space on his mantel for the fake award to stand next to his Lombardi Trophy. But, it may get higher placemnt than the 2006 Second Team All-MAC certificate.
