Lakers’ Dwight Howard Announces Final Decision on NBA Return

It took several weeks for Dwight Howard to make up his mind regarding the NBA return. The Los Angeles Lakers center spoke to Don Lemon from CNN, and it looks like he has made a decision.

Howard will join the team in the bubble in Orlando. Lakers fans are more than happy. The team has already lost Avery Bradley, and having Howard on the floor is more than awesome.

Howard is one of the most efficient players in the NBA and he has had a big role on the team. Many would agree that the Lakers need his veteran skills.

“Basketball will most likely resume and I feel like we have an opportunity, the Lakers do, of winning the title this year,” Howard told Lemon.

The Lakers center has played over 15 NBA season and hasn’t won a title yet. Howard has made the NBA Finals once, and he has lost to the Lakers. This season is one of his best shots to win a ring.

Dwight Howard is looking forward to the NBA return

Howard didn’t really approve the idea of going back to the floor. The NBA return would distract fans from social activism. Well, he made the final decision, and we like it a lot.

“I have an obligation to my teammates, to my fans, the Lakers, the organization … but at the same time, I also have an obligation to my family, to my community,” Howard said. “Yes, I will be joining my team in Orlando but during that time, we will be doing a lot of work here in Atlanta and around the nation as far as making sure people don’t forget about us and what’s going on.”

The Lakers center will use his game checks to fund the charity he founded. Impressive, right?

I have an initiative that I’m restarting … It’s called ‘Breathe Again’ and during my time in the bubble, I will use that time to talk about ‘Breathe Again’ and I’m going to use my salary … I will use the paychecks that I will be getting when I’m down in the bubble to help push this ‘Breathe Again,’” Howard said.
