Lakers Star LeBron James Shares Heartmelting Kobe Bryant Statement

LeBron James can’t get over the death of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. The Black Mamba died in a helicopter crash on January 26, and the world still grieves. Kobe was friends with pretty much everyone. He wanted to win games and also wanted to do what he knows best. Inspire others. Many young athletes looked up to the great Kobe and respected his work.

LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers are inside the Orlando bubble. The king of basketball talked to media members and used the chance to say that Kobe will always be close to his heart.

“A day doesn’t go by when I don’t think about him,” LeBron told reporters Monday. “And a day doesn’t go by when our organization does not remember him and think about not only Kob’, but Gigi, Vanessa and the girls.”

King James took to his Instagram recently to share a photo of himself, Kobe and Kevin Durant.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel shares the same opinion. He misses Kobe. Everyone misses Kobe.

He’s still with us,” Vogel said. “We always, even prior to this happening, we wanted to embody what he stood for, and even more so now with what happened. We want to honor his memory.

“I think there is going to be a daily mindset of honoring the work, and having that toughness about us. When we get into the playoffs there will be opportunities and situations where we’ll refresh our mindset of things that he stood for, and what his approach was from a competitive spirt standpoint. Come playoff time that I think will help us in our mission this year.”

LeBron James struggles with the loss of Kobe Bryant

Kobe’s death was the first major disaster to shock the world. LeBron and many others say that 2020 is probably the worst year we have had.

The Los Angeles Lakers will honor Kobe and Gigi. They will play in memory of the great basketball player and his little girl. According to LeBron, they are part of the family, adding that players will still wear 2, 8 and 24 with pride of how awesome the Black Mamba and Gigi were.

On their way to the NBA bubble, Anthony Davis wore a shirt of Kobe and Gigi. It was an amazing tribute and a reminder that Kobe will always be around his team, even when they go after the team’s 17th NBA title.

After Kobe’s death, Davis shared an emotional message on his social media. He talked about the big role Kobe had in his life.

“Man this is a tough one for me!” Davis wrote. “You were the first guy to put me under your wing and show me the ins and outs of the league. Had so many great convos about so many things and I will cherish those moments forever. Love you forever, Bean!”
