LeBron James Gave Touching Kobe Bryant Tribute in NBA Restart vs Clippers

The NBA is finally back in its “bubble” form and LeBron James started right where he left off vs the Clippers. In the Los Angeles Lakers first game in 4 months, LeBron James was ready to take over the game just as he did before.

James finished 6 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists. However, he shot a pretty bad 6 of 19 from the field. But this might not have been the biggest story from the game last night.

There has been a lot of off-the-court issues in the past few months. With the death of George Floyd, many players have been very outspoken about the Black Lives Matter movement. This continued onto the court last night.

The players from both teams made a huge statement when they all knelt before the game during the National Anthem.

LeBron said “We’re dealing with a lot of racism, a lot of social injustice, a lot of police brutality…We cannot stop with our foot on the gas …” of the statement.

But this was not the only thing that fans noticed during the game. Throughout the entire game, LeBron James was wearing a tribute to one one of the greatest NBA players of all time in Kobe Bryant. He not only wore a nice tribute but even hit the game winner.

LeBron has made it very clear on how he felt about Kobe. Their friendship was only made stronger when James famously made the move the Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant’s death was a crushing blow to the entire Laker’s fan base. James left a very heartfelt statement on Bryant’s death.

“I’m Not Ready but here I go. Man I sitting here trying to write something for this post but every time I try I begin crying again just thinking about you, niece Gigi and the friendship/bond/brotherhood we had! I literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I left Philly to head back to LA. Didn’t think for one bit in a million years that would be the last conversation we’d have. WTF!! I’m heartbroken and devastated my brother!!

This is a very interesting time for everyone. How will the Lakers do in the bubble?
