LeBron James Reacts To Lakers Signing J.R. Smith

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James will soon join forces with JR Smith. His new teammate is actually a familiar person.

Smith hasn’t played a game since the 2018-19 season. The team will use him as a replacement for Bradley. The former Boston Celtics guard decided to miss the NBA’s restart in Orlando, Florida due to family issues.

“The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard JR Smith as a Substitute Player for the NBA season restart, it was announced today by Vice President of Basketball Operations and General Manager Rob Pelinka. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.”

LeBron is excited to see JR Smith on the court

Smith had a big role in the Cavaliers 2015-16 NBA championship run. King James is more than excited to see Smith in Los Angeles, and he took to his Instagram stories to share his excitement.

“Yessir bro!” he wrote on Instagram. “Right back at it like we never left.”

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel talked about the new signing. According to him, LeBron’s experience with Smith is a great detail.

“That was a factor: his familiarity with LeBron and the way we built our team, obviously around LeBron,” Vogel told media members. “There’s a lot of similarities to the things they did in Cleveland. That definitely is a factor in what we feel J.R. can bring to the table in what is going to be a very short time to get acclimated.”

The veteran shot 40 percent from the 3-point line during in the 2016 season. The Cavaliers challenged the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, and it was a big success for the talented Smith.

LeBron would play really well with his former teammate, and they can’t wait to hit the floor together again. The Lakers are hoping to win a title this time. Yes, they have a chance to win a title.
