LeBron James is in his 17th NBA season and he is about to make some great changes in the postseason. The king of basketball has a go-to move before the playoffs every season. The three-time NBA champion always turns off his social media.

King James calls it “Zero Dark Thirty-23.” LeBron always makes a social media announcement right before the start of the upcoming NBA playoffs.

The Lakers superstar will take a different turn this offseason. LeBron told media members togay that he can’t afford to turn off his phone this season. He has to call his wife, children, mother and other friends. His family needs him, and he has to stay in contact with them.

These guys are usually watching his games. But this season is different and LeBron won’t have his family around. LeBron will be with his teammates and other NBA players in Disney World. That’s why LeBron will have his phone turned on this summer. His family needs him. LeBron won’t see his wife and kids in the next few months and they have to communicate somehow.

“My focus hasn’t changed. [The current social media climate] doesn’t matter to me. We all know how this season has been. With our ballclub and all the noise that’s either irrelevant or relevant—whatever the case may be—for me, maintaining my focus hasn’t changed.”
