Patriots Nation Will Love Stephon Gilmore’s Reaction To NFL Top 100 Honor

One of the New England Patriots players got a huge honor when Stephon Gilmore received the number 9 pick on the NFL Top 100 honor. This is a huge honor for the Patriot’s cornerback.

The honor is voted on by NFL players all across the league which even furthers the praise. Not only did Gilmore get a top 10 spot in the NFL’s “Top 100 Players of 2020,” they also voted him the top cornerback in the league.

He also had a great reaction when he learned about the honor. Gilmore took to Instagram to show his appreciation.

“The best thing about the grind is that it don’t stop!,” Gilmore said on the post. “I appreciate the love from my peers & the ones out there going against me week in and week out. It hits different when you’re all after the same goals! Feeling Thankful. I feel Blessed. Feeling more motivated than ever…”

Hopefully he can come out and prove his place in this poll as they New England’s Patriots defense will definitely need it.

Stephon Gilmore also had a great reaction when he was asked about who he though the best player in the league was. “I would pick myself.”

The confidence is good coming off a turbulent off season with many changes happening. Most of the questions surround what will happen at quarterback. Most experts agree that the newly acquired Cam Newton will the the starter, taking over for Tom Brady.

Gilmore’s teammates also had nothing but great things to say about him.

“When you have a shutdown corner, you always hear from him that he’s a shutdown corner. But Steph doesn’t say a whole lot,” captain Matthew Slater said. “He takes a lot of pride in not giving up anything, whether it’s a walkthrough, whether it’s practice, and obviously in the game. … It’s been fun to see him become the best corner in football.”

It is going to be interesting to see how this translates to the field. Hopefully Gilmore can continue his great play going forward this season.
