Patriots Quarterback Cam Newton Reacts To His ‘Madden 21’ Rating

Patriots veteran quarterback Cam Newton didn’t receive a strong player rating in the upcoming Madden NFL 21 video game. The newly-acquired quarterback had an expected reaction to the ranking.

According to his reaction, we can say that Newton doesn’t really like the ranking. He is far from happy with it.

EA Sports gave the veteran a 78 overall rating. If by any chance you have noticed, this is much lower than Week 1 starting quarterbacks. The New England Patriots took to the official Instagram account to share a photo of the highest player ratings from this year’s “Madden” video game. Of course, Newton’s name was nowhere to be seen. Truth is, there are many other players on the Patriots roster with a much better rating.

We noticed Newton’s name in the comments section of the post. He had an honest assessment of the rating, and let’s just say that we understand him.

Fans can’t really blame Newton for his reaction. He is in the top 15 NFL quarterbacks when healthy. The veteran missed 14 of the Panthers’ 16 regular season games last season due to a foot injury. Well, it looks like he is in perfect condition and he will enter the 2020 season in perfect health.

The Patriots quarterback has huge motivation now

This ranking will motivate Newton to play his best football in 2020. The worst part? Newton’s ranking is three points higher than the quarterback who replaced him in Carolina. Teddy Bridgewater ranks 75th.

The Patriots need Newton healthy. He has shared a few great videos of his workouts with other Patriots players. The 2015 NFL NVP looks really great, and he has already connected with Patriots receivers. He had workouts with Mohamed Sanu and Julian Edelman. Yes, they look really great on the football field. The Patriots will need their talent to move on. The upcoming season will be full of excitement for every player in New England. They lost many valuable players in free agency, and Newton will have to replace one of them. Head coach Bill Belichick will probably place him under center. It will be a wild ride for the veteran quarterback.
