New England Patriots kicker Justin Rohrwasser made a promise and he removed his tattoo. The newly-acquired kicker promised to remove his tattoo, and we bet doubters are now happy.

The Three Percenters tattoo wasn’t really the best detail in Rohrwasser’s portfolio, and a lot of people shared their concerns. Rohrwasser was hit with a dose of criticism at the very same moment New England announced the decision to sign him.

In April, the talented kicker said he was planning to cover the controversial tattoo. He kept his promise ahead of his rookie NFL season.

The Three Percenters are defined as far-right militia movement and paramilitary group. Rohrwasser said he didn’t know about the real meaning behind the group, and he thought that he was actually supporting the US army. In one of his most recent interviews, Rohrwasser said he regrets tattooing the symbol on his body.

In his interview, Rohrwasser said he got the tattoo when he was a teenager. He had a lot of family in the military and he thought the symbol stood for a military support symbol back then. Well, it turned into something Rohrwasser doesn’t want to represent. He said that he should have done more research before he tattooed his body. Rohrwasser doesn’t want to represent it and he wanted it covered. Yes, it is covered now.

New England selected Rohrwasser out of Marshal in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the 159th overall selection. Rohrwasser started his college career at URI and then moved on with the Marshall team. In his two years at URI, Rohrwasser had 15 of his 20 field-goal attempts and 39 of 41 extra-point attempts.

During his game in Marshal, Rohrwasser had 33 of his 42 field-goal attempts and 79 of his 82 extra-point attempts. In 2019, he had both of his attempts from 50-plus yards. NFL fans remember Rohrwasser’s career-long hit from 53 yards. The Patriots will need more of this. They will need his full talent, and yes, Rohrwasser is expected to have a big role with the team in 2020.
