Watch: Cam Newton Throws To Julian Edelman In Awesome Instagram Video

Cam Newton is getting to know his Patriots teammates and Julian Edelman has already caught passes from the newly-acquired quarterback. Newton and the veteran wide receiver wasted no time getting to work. On Wednesday, the former Carolina Panthers quarterback shared a video of their joint workout. This was the first time fans have been able to see the duo hit the field together since Newton signed his one-year deal with the Pats on July 8.

This video shows Newton throwing a corner pass to Edelman. The veteran said “great ball” right after catching the pass. This isn’t the first time that Newton has shared a post about Edelman since joining the organization. He took to his Instagram account earlier this month to quote Edelman while studying the Patriots’ playbook. Seeing them work out together is more “tantalizing” of what we may see in 2020.

Newton and Edelman have a lot to prove in the upcoming season. The quarterback has been vocal about how he felt disrespected with how the Panthers released him. In a roundtable discussion with former and present football players, Newton said that he has circled some contests on the Patriots’ schedule that feature squads that passed on him this offseason.

Cam Newton and Julian Edelman work well together

Edelman is drawing motivation from Tom Brady’s contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He wants to show everyone that he is not a byproduct of Brady’s greatness. This offseason, a Patriots player spoke to Mike Giardi of the NFL Network and said that Edelman hates to lose. The wideout definitely doesn’t like the fact that some people say he is no good, calling him a product of Brady.

Jules has all the talent and experience to continue winning games without TB12. That will be more than enough for him to challenge doubters and prove them wrong.

Newton and Edelman could build a strong duo, and they can defeat every other team in the NFL. The quarterback has worked with other Patriots wide receivers and he clicks well with all of them. Let’s see how will the season start for New England. It’s a big season for every player.
