Anthony Davis Releases Statement About The Lakers’ Offensive Struggles vs Raptors

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t handle the Raptors’ defense last night. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the rest of the guys all noticed the offensive struggles in Orlando. But, rhere’s so much more behind the final score of the Lakers vs Raptors game. Davis is not worried about the offense, and his primary focus is turned towards another topic.

The Lakers big man made a statement following the 107-92 loss to the Raptors. He is not concerned about the Lakers offense. Wonder why? The Lakers have an incredible defense and that’s the only thing that matters right now.

“I’m not too worried about our offense. As long as our defense is there, we’ll find a way to make shots,” Davis said.

This game marked the third-fewest points LA has scored all season. They shot just 35.4 percent from the field – 25.0 percent from three-point range. Davis and LeBron were a combined minus-37.

Davis had other issues on the floor. He shot just 2-of-7 and recorded six rebounds and three assists. This doesn’t change the fact that he was an excellent 9-of-9 from the free-throw line.

LeBron and Davis deliver a message after Lakers vs Raptors game

The big man told media members afterward he looks to find the open player when rivals are double-teaming him, but the shots “weren’t falling.” LeBron said that the team got the looks despite missing the shots.

“I don’t think there is anything you can do better,” the three-time NBA champion said. “We went 10-[of]-40 from [three]. We just have to step up and knock them down.”

The Lakers came off a two-point win against the Clippers on Thursday. This was the Raptors’ first game since the suspension on March 11. Maybe Toronto players were a little bit too excited about their first game.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel and his team will have to make a few adjustments in the next few weeks. There are some issues they need to solve, and boosting the offense is a priority right now. Let’s see how will the Lakers finish the season in Orlando. It’s an important game for the top team of the West.
