Anthony Davis Reveals Inspiring Message He Told LeBron James at Halftime vs Trail Blazers

Anthony Davis shared an inspiring message he gave at halftime. The Los Angeles Lakers are finally getting back on track after a bit of a rough start to the Playoffs. In the first game, it seemed like they couldn’t do anything correctly. The Portland Trail Blazers were able to do pretty much anything they wanted as they cruised to an easy win.

This was pretty surprising as most around the NBA thought that the Lakers were easily one of the favorites to win the title this year. With the help of Anthony Davis and LeBron James, they are finally looking the sort.

Davis was one of the players who stepped up in game 3. He wanted to make sure he took off some of the pressure off of LeBron.

“I told Bron at half I gotta take some of the pressure off of him” Davis said.

Davis was then able to score 23 of his 29 points after the half to help James out. LeBron finished with an amazing game. He had 38 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Most importantly, however, is that they were able to lead the team to another win. They now have a 2-1 lead over the Trail Blazers.

Even after that let down of a first game, which the Lakers lost 100-93, Davis has been able to step it up. He is now averaging 29.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.7 steals a game so far in the Playoffs. He is also shooting almost 51% from the field.

Game for is set to take place on Monday. If they can pick up the win, they will take a commanding 3-1 lead.

James talked about the victory.

“I just think my offensive pace tonight,” James said. “At times I was fast, slow, medium-paced. It was like a stick shift. Sometimes I was in gear 1, sometimes I was in gear 6. Being able to read and react, depending on whether I had the cruise on or was in a residential area or the highway or I was on the straightaway. Being able to have a car that can go in different speeds and zones, depending on what the traffic is, is very key.”

The Lakers are in good spirits now. They should be able to pull out a victory in the first round if they can keep it up.
