Cam Newton Give Promising Update About His Health

The New England Patriots were the only team to show interest in Cam Newton and most teams overlooked him because of his health issues. The former Carolina Panthers quarterback has sustained several major injuries in the past couple of seasons. In 2019, Newton missed most of the season due to his issues and the Panthers released him in March.

The 2015 NFL MVP doesn’t really panic about the upcoming season. Newton appreciates the chance he was given. He is ready to show everyone that he can carry the game and help the team win. Newton joined a team that had lost the starting quarterback. Being the next signal-caller for the Pats will be really challenging. Head coach Bill Belichick has yet to make a decision on this problem.

Newton spoke to media members Friday. According to his comments, he is ready to go. The quarterback had foot and shoulder surgeries to fix his body. Is he ready to move on and win games? Absolutely.

“As far as how I feel right now, I feel amazing,” Newton said. “I feel great. Probably not any different from any other person who’s in that locker room right now. So I’m extremely optimistic about that. But through it all, it’s just putting yourself in the position to be in the best shape and have your body in the best possible situation when you actually need it.”

Cam Newton has no concerns related to his health

Newton’s foot injury kept him on the sidelines for the majority of the past season. The Lisfranc injury sealed his destiny with the Panthers. Well, recent reports suggest that Newton is 100% healthy. That’s why the Patriots signed him this summer.

Newton’s closest people believe he has the power to help the Patriots win their trophy. He signed an incentive-laden deal, and that gives him extra motivation to win games. Newton is an elite quarterback and that’s exactly what coach Belichick needs at the moment. Well, he also likes second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

The Patriots will enter the 2020 NFL season with a lot of challenges on their schedule. First, they have to name the next starting quarterback. Next, they should find a strategy to defeat the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. Replacing players who have opted out is another major obstacle.
