Cam Newton Shares His First Instagram Post Together With Bill Belichick

It seems like Cam Newton, a newly signed New England quarterback, and head coach Bill Belichick already had a pretty good relationship. The Patriots have been trying to work towards a better 2020 season. They were very much let down in 2019 after a very disappointing season.

We can see the relationship growing very quick by taking a look at Cam Newton’s Insagram. He recently posted a photo of him and Belichick. In the photo, it very much looks like he is being coached up nicely. Most believe that he will be the starter to start the 2020 season. However, this is unconfirmed.

Head coach Bill Belichick has often talked about what he thought about Newton. He is a very hardworking guy which fits nicely into what the Patriots expect of their players. This is one of the questions that many people had going into the season.

“He’s an extremely hard-working player,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. “First-guy in, last-one out type of guy. He’s really studied hard and has spent a lot of extra time trying to learn our offense, our communication, our calls, nomenclature and so forth. This is very impressive. He’s done a good job of picking it up. He’s a very skilled athlete. We’re just working through it day by day. We have a long way to go.

“We’ve got a very competitive competition at a very competitive position at the quarterback spot. It will be interesting to see how everybody does.”

“We wanted to add competition,” Belichick said. “We always add competition to our team, and we feel like we are be able to do that. He was very open to talking about and working with our situation. We were able to work things out. We’ll just take it day by day and see how it goes. I’m glad we have him.

“It’s been fun to work with him. He’s a very talented player with a unique skillset. Again, we’ll see where it all goes, but he’s got a lot to work with.”

What do you think about what he had to say?
