Damiere Byrd Reveals Simple Reason For Why He Signed With New England Patriots

Damiere Byrd joined the New England Patriots, and his reasons for making this move are really simple. The talented player has had his video conference call after Wednesday’s training camp practice at Gillette Stadium. One of the questions involved the reasons he had to join the Pats.

“I just wanted to play good football,” Byrd said.

Well, every NFL player dreams of playing good football. Byrd is not alone in this one. The Patriots have had consistent success in the past two decades. That’s not something you underestimate. Head coach Bill Belichick has established an excellent system, and most fans would love to be part of his team. Yes, Tom Brady may be out, but NFL players are definitely interested to play under Belichick. The Patriots have so many talented players on the roster and their defense is awesome. Some of the veterans on defense left the organization, but this doesn’t change the fact that the Patriots play good football.

Damiere Byrd is a nice fit for the Patriots offense

Belichick has created an excellent team, and he has all the talent a team needs to win games. Many analysts will agree that the Patriots are contenders in the AFC for the 2020 NFL season.

Byrd started his run with the Carolina Panthers in 2016. He spent three seasons with the NFC South team. In 2019, Byrd became part of the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach Belichick and the Patriots will need to level up the offense. This was the biggest problem they had in 2019. New England scored 30-points in six of the first seven contests. However, they only hit the 30-point mark once in the final nine games as the pressure got bigger.

Julian Edelman, N’Keal Harry, and Mohamed Sanu sustained serious injuries. The Patriots have to be well prepared this time. Adding Byrd may seem strange, but he has the speed Pats offense needs to pose a downfield threat. They didn’t have this privilege in 2019. Belichick changes the winning formula, and he has made some unexpected moves. Picking the next signal-caller is a priority now, and he will make this decision after training camp.
